How Good Is Aiarty Image Enhancer?
Aiarty claims that Image Enhancer is able to reduce excessive noise, preserve intricate detail while at the same time provide the ability to upscale images by 8X their original resolution. If this holds up, this would make Image Enhancer a strong choice for photographers looking to improve image quality without the need for time consuming manual intervention. Let’s dive into the two most common use cases wildlife photographers face in their post-processing workflows and see if Aiarty Image Enhancer is up to the challenge.
Use Case #1 – Heavy Crop/Blurry Image
Wildlife photographers always profess that you need to get all aspects that make a great photo dialled in correctly in camera. I could not agree more, but what if you couldn’t get as close as you’d like and what if that image just wasn’t tack sharp. Do you delete it and move on or is there a way to upscale the image while at the same time unblur it while maintaining the detail.
By no means is this original image of a Blue Jay a great photo but it is a great example of an image that would require upscaling due to a heavy crop and it is very soft. This is a scenario wildlife photographers are often faced with but rather than deleting this photo let’s see if Aiarty Image Enhancer can rescue it.
Original Photo

Upscaled & Unblurred Photo
You can see from the original photo that I zoomed in quite a bit to get the resulting image below which demonstrates just how blurry and soft the image on the left is. I processed the image using the Real Photo v3 AI model and because I was going to be cropping the finished image I upscaled it 2X to take it from 8220×5520 to 16384 x 10922. On my first pass the image was noticeably better but still needed a bit of processing so I checked the box for 2-Pass Processing and selected More-Detail GAN v3 and ran the image through the process one more time and as you can see the image on the right is significantly sharper and has rendered more feather detail.

Use Case #2 – Excessive Noise Reduction
Wildlife photographers often find themselves shooting in low light. If you’re already at the lowest f-stop of your lens this scenario requires an increase in ISO in order to keep the shutter speed high enough to get a sharp image and maintain the correct exposure. Pushing your ISO higher comes at a price, with the negative side effect being additional noise in your images. In this use case, I wanted to see if Aiarty Image Enhancer could remove the excessive noise while still maintaining detail in the fur of this rabbit.
Original Image
Below is the original image of a rabbit taken in near darkness on my Nikon Z9 at ISO 25,600. It is sharp but has an excessive amount of noise and is an unusable photo in its current state.

Denoised Image
I cropped in on this image so you could see a side by side comparison of the original image and the processed image through Image Enhancer. I used the Real Photo v3 AI Model once again but because I would have no need to upscale this image I left upscaling at X1 and 2-Pass Processing was not required. My workflow would still include bringing this image into Lightroom or Photoshop for final edits to reduce things like the purple color cast, etc. but Image Enhancer has done an excellent job at reducing the noise while preserving the detail in the fur of this rabbit.

Unless your style of photography includes AI-generated work I do not anticipate that you will be using this AI model in your workflow.
3. More-Detail GAN v2
Purpose: As the predecessor to v3, this model emphasizes detail enhancement and sharpness, though with slightly less precision than the latest version. It remains a robust tool for improving image quality.
Best Suited For: Wildlife images where the primary focus is on enhancing textures and details. Given More-Detail GAN v3 is now included and is more precise, I defaulted to using that model in my workflow.
4. Smooth Diff v2
Purpose: This model is designed to provide a balance between detail enhancement and noise reduction smoothing out imperfections while preserving essential details, resulting in a clean and refined image.
Best Suited For: Photographs taken in low-light conditions where noise is prevalent. I tried this AI model on the image of the rabbit however I found that Real-Photo v3 did a much better job of preserving the detail in the fur.
5. Real-Photo v3
Purpose: Optimized for authentic photographs, Real-Photo v3 enhances realism by refining details and improving overall image quality without introducing artificial elements.
Best Suited For: High-resolution wildlife photographs intended for print or professional portfolios. This model ensures that images retain their natural appearance while exhibiting enhanced clarity and detail, making it ideal for showcasing your work online or in print. I processed many wildlife images not included in this review and in all cases Real-Photo v3 provided me with the best result.
Knowing what I know now, for my wildlife photography workflow I would be using Real-Photo v3 as my first go to and More-Detail GAN 3 as required for 2-Pass Processing when additional detail was required.
One More Test For Excessive Noise & Blur
Given the majority of backgrounds in wildlife photo’s are green, I wanted to run one more test to see how Image Enhancer performed with a blurred green bokeh with excessive noise.
BEFORE
Below is the original image (after brightening the exposure) of a rabbit and a photo bombing cardinal taken after the sun had set on a Nikon Z9 at ISO 25,600. I wanted you to see just how much I zoomed into this image for the purpose of demonstrating just how good Aiarty Image Enhancer is at removing the noise and sharpening the image while at the same time retaining the detail in the fur of this rabbit.

AFTER
Below is the image shown at 150% and scaled 2X through Aiarty Image Enhancer. You can see the original image on the left has extreme noise artifacts showing and is very soft. The right hand image after being processed through the Real-Photo v3 AI model has completely removed the noise across the entire image and sharpened the eye and fur without over-processing the fur in this image.
I did run the image through the other four AI models listed above just to view the results but the Real-Photo v3 AI model produced the best results. For this image I found both of the More-Detail GAN v2 and v3 versions produced an image which looked a little too crispy and both the Smooth models removed just a little too much fur detail.
This makes sense given the Real-Photo V3 AI model was optimized for authentic high resolution images. As I stated above, my recommendation for wildlife photographers would be to start with the Real-Photo v3 as your go to AI model and if the resulting image does not suit your eye try 2-Pass Processing with the More-Detail GAN v3 AI model as I did in use case #1 with the Blue Jay. If that does not provide the result you’re after try the More-Detail GAN v3 as a stand alone AI model.

Wildlife photography is all about capturing nature in its raw, unfiltered beauty. But sometimes, even the best shots need a little post-processing to bring out their full potential. As someone who has used Image Enhancer to process many images I thought it would be beneficial to walk you through the step-by-step process for enhancing your images.
Step 1: Importing Your Image
After launching AIARTY Image Enhancer, the first step is to import the wildlife image you want to enhance.
- Click on the “Upload Image” button.
- Select your image file from your computer.
- AIARTY supports various file formats, but for best results, use RAW or high-resolution JPEG images.
Step 2: Choosing an Enhancement Mode

Next you’ll want to select an AI model. AIARTY offers multiple enhancement modes, however as I suggested previously I would start with Real-Photo v3. For wildlife photography, consider the following options:

Step 3: Upscale
Quite often wildlife images are cropped and require upscaling for larger print jobs. Select 1X if no upscale is required.
- If upscale is required click on the upscale drop down menu and select the level of upscaling desired from 2X to 8X.
- Note: In the current version, Real-Photo v3 is limited to 2X upscaling. Additional upscaling magnification is expected in Q4 2025. All other Ai models support up to 8X upscaling.
Step 4: 2-Pass Processing
Use 2-Pass Processing if the result you are looking for is not rendered after processing your image with Real-Photo v3 or More-Detail GAN v3.
- Check the box beside 2-Pass Processing to turn on this function.
Step 5: Export Settings

Once you’re happy with your processed image it’s time to export it to your drive.
- Select the output format, JPEG or PNG (8 or 16 bit)
- Select the DPI (Values from 72 to 1000). Select 72 for social feeds and higher DPI for print jobs.
- Keep quality settings at 100 unless you have a need for a smaller file size.
- Select the output path you wish to save the image to.
- If it is a single image click Single Export and your image will be saved.
Step 6: Batch Export
If you have a number of images that you wish to apply the exact same settings to you can load multiple images in step 1 above.
- When you are ready to save the images click on Batch Export and all of the images you imported will be processed based on your selections.
